Since November 2022, on the last Thursday of each month, we’ve gathered around a long table (or two) on the Fine Arts mezzanine of the Enoch Pratt Free Library, 400 Cathedral Street in Baltimore, MD, to look at photo books. Hosted by Patrick Joust and me, the Enoch Pratt Free Library Photo Book Meet-Up draws book aficionados from across Maryland, DC, and Virginia. Sometimes, folks bring photo books from their personal collections, or works-in-progress, new finds from Baltimore Photo Space, or sometimes simply come to explore the library’s growing photo book collection.

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the library has become our grounding point. A place for photographers to commune over work in its printed form.
